CEO 360: Pre-launch email

The pre-communication for the CEO 360 process, sent by the Chair or Process Leader, introduces the process and outlines participant expectations.

Dear [Directors and Management],

We are about to launch a CEO 360 process for [Organisation], utilising BoardOutlook. 

BoardOutlook offers a secure and confidential platform with proven questions and frameworks. The software is accessible online via a computer, tablet, or phone.

CEO 360 details:

  • The CEO 360 evaluation is a series of questions working through both strengths and opportunities for improvement for [CEO Name] over the past year. 
  • Time Commitment: Completing the CEO 360 takes an average of 30 minutes (although this may be substantially shorter or longer depending on your level of input). 
  • Reporting: The report will be shared with the [Name].
  • Anonymity: Your responses will remain anonymous and will be reported generically as “Board” or “Management.”
  • Flexibility: Your answers will automatically save every 30 seconds as long as you’re connected to the internet. 

The process will commence on [Target Date], and you can expect to receive an invitation email from BoardOutlook at this time. Once live, you’ll have [two] weeks to complete the diagnostic.
